TC Phonics: Growing Into Second-Grade Phonics. We will begin by reviewing 1st grade Phonics Professor Words, such as, vowels, blends, digraphs, contractions, and much more.

TC Reading: Second-Grade Reading Growth Spurt. Readers will grow like beanstalks by deciding HOW to read, giving their books sneak peeks, retelling stories, rolling up their sleeves and solving tricky words, and thinking what is the author trying to teach me?

TC Writing: Lessons from the Masters: Improving Narrative Writing. Writers will learn how to write small moment stories by paying attention to how master authors write.

Math: ENVISION math program. Mathematicians will learn how to fluently add and subtract within 20. We will build on first grade skills to meet the Common Core State Standards.

Science: PS 329 has a new science program--AMPLIFY! Scientists will learn all about Plants and Animals.
