Through Change For Kids, this year at PS 329 Third Street is providing high quality music education to develop students into the best musicians, singers, and composers they can be. Third and Fourth grade students who selected music as a talent will participate in the 30 week chorus and percussion program. Check out our drummers in the photos below!
In addition to the newly added talent selection Change For Kids also utilizes Third Street music for the after school Violin Program also known as the "Surfside Strings" Program! 3rd and 4th graders will learn how to read music, compose songs, and of course play the violin!

I am exited to share that this year 4th grade classes will be receiving a 20 session residency with Leap NYC that will begin in February!
The residency is entitled Tomorrow's Entrepreneurs and weaves Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) learning into a hands-on and collaborative program where students work to create an invention or business venture that solves a community problem. Fourth graders will work collaboratively using exploratory problem-solving skills to identify a community need, develop a business plan and prototype, write a marketing plan, and create an elevator pitch.The residency also includes two culminating school events along with a city wide culminating event at the Google office in Chelsea NYC!

Through CFK PS 329 is also able to partner with Chess NYC! This year first graders will participate in a 12-week residency where they will learn and expolre the fundementals of chess.
